What is Qigong (Chi Kung)?
‘Qi’ or ‘Chi’ means energy, and in yoga, it is called ‘Prana’. ‘Gong’ or ‘Kung’ meaning work. Therefore, the word Qigong (also spelled Chi Kung) means the exercise of your internal energy. It is a Chinese healthcare system that’s endured the test of time and is making a tremendous resurgence in today’s fast moving world. Qigong exercises integrate body postures, movement, breathing and meditation to help produce a healthy balanced mind and body. It includes standing and floor mat exercises to strengthen and tone the body, improve balance and relax the mind.
Wear suitable loose clothing and bring a mat for floor exercises.
